For their fifth stage, the travelers made a stopover in Xinyang, prefecture of Henan province.
Fourth stage : Huangchuan
After having traveled 238km (148 miles) from their last stage, Xavier and Géraldine arrived in Huangchuan on saturday.
The vehicle still attracts local people's attention.
At each stage, Xavier and Géraldine enjoy local food, such as in this Huangchuan's market where they could buy cakes of noodles.

Third stage: Hefei
The third stage ends at Hefei on the 6th of May with a total distance of 180 km (111 miles).

For the first time Xavier and Geraldine got used to chinese traffic with 3 hours of traffic jams. People had a great interest for our vehicle with unusual colors.

Departure : 2010 Monday the 3rd
The departure of the Venturi Global Challenges Mission 02 "Shanghai to Paris" has been held on May 3, from Monaco Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo.



Géraldine Gabin and Xavier Chevrin, the two adventurers left Shanghai today with their electric vehicle, a Citroën Berlingo « Powered by Venturi », after a press conference organized in Monaco Pavilion in order to give the official start of this human and technological adventure.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II spoke at this event via video conference.
After having insisted on his commitment toward sustainable mobility, he greeted Venturi and the two adventurers’ initiative. Gildo Pallanca Pastor, CEO of Venturi, explained the objectives of this mission: spread a positive message toward electric vehicles.
The journalits invited for the occasion, but also the visitors of the Shanghai Expo met the crew to and wish them good luck.
